Biography:
Dongfang Bubai is a complex character from Jin Yong's wuxia novel, The Smiling, Proud Wanderer. They first appear in the novel as a reclusive and mysterious figure.
Originally the deputy leader of the Sun Moon Holy Cult, Dongfang Bubai usurped power from the leader, Ren Woxing. In their quest for ultimate power, they castrated themself and mastered the *Sunflower Manual*, a highly potent but dangerous martial arts skill.
